HIPSTAGRAM FTW - COPENHAGEN PHOTO FESTIVAL 2013

HIPSTAGRAM FTW*
In connection to the Copenhagen Photo Festival 2013, a competition and exhibition will take place called “HIPSTAGRAM FTW” with photos taken by photographers using Smart Phone APP filters.

The Triangle Project Part 7 and 8 has been involved with Copenhagen Photo Festival and one might call this project the 81/2 version of The Triangle Project.

The categories are:
- Landscape
- Portrait
Everyday Poetry – in a series of at least 5 photos.

The use of Smart Phone filters in combination with Social Media, have made the act of
taking photos a new daily ritual and way of sharing life and situations with people in a Social Network.
Since there is no question that this is part of the future of photography, it will be highlighted, investigated and discussed as a new aspect for the world of photography.

The competition will be judged by the Directors of Copenhagen Photo Festival Rasmus
Ranum and Julie Navne Klitbo, the Photographer and Photo Editor of the Danish
Newspaper Politiken, Per Folkver and the Artist and Photographer Jacob Fuglsang Mikkelsen.

Instructions:
Send up to ten (10) images per photographer, either as individual photos or as part
of a series. The photos should be sent either one by one, or as a dropbox.com link to the
email address: hipstagram@copenhagenphotofestival.com

Take the photos during this lovely month of May 2013, or use ones you taken before and send them in no later than the 29th of May, 18:00 Copenhagen time.

Once the photos have been selected for the exhibition, they will be printed and shown
as part of the official program of the Copenhagen Photo Festival 2013 and featured in Snap Magazine.
The Final winner of the single best photo or a series of five photos, will win the latest iphone 5 with a one year free mobile phone account.

On June 13 th 17:00 – 19:00 at Fotografisk Center, there will be a paneldebate with Director of Fotografisk Center Kristine Kern as moderator. There will be three short presentations of photography relating to
the premises of the competition and a small celebration for the winner and other photographers selected to be in the exhibition
